Owner and founder Aesthetician, Tessa Laing
Tessa is a self-proclaimed creative who’s passionate about making others feel good about themselves. Combined with a lifelong fascination with anatomy, a career in cosmetology was her calling.
Tessa studied cosmetology at the Bronze Academy (previously AIM Academy) and completed a diploma at ITEC and CIDESCO in Advanced Cosmetology. Having gained close to a decade’s experience at prestigious beauty salons and skin-and-laser clinics, she knew the time was right to start her own venture, and Skin Worth was born. Tessa continues to hone her craft and stay abreast of the latest developments in the industry. She’s completed extensive treatment- and product-specific training, most recently a certificate from LaserElect on the OPT SHR Elight (the industry-leading laser machine used at the clinic).
Cosmetic doctor, Dr Mariaan Kühn
Dr Mariaan Kühn is driven by a love for medical science and art – the perfect combination for result-driven aesthetic medicine.
After graduating from the University of Pretoria with an MBChB degree, Dr Kühn completed a course in Botulinum Toxin injections (Botox) and Dermal Filler injections (Fillers) hosted by an Allergen-registered trainer. She subsequently attended numerous workshops on advanced Botox and Filler administration, including workshops presented by internationally-acclaimed plastic surgeons.
Dr Kühn has been practising as a GP since 2005 and as an aesthetic doctor since 2009. She’s registered with the Health Professions Council of South Africa as well as the General Medical Council of the UK.
